Near-Infrared Recovery Technology

Explore Lifinity near-infrared light devices for facial wellness and body-focused recovery routines. Selected Lifinity wearables use 850 nm or 880 nm near-infrared light alongside red light, with PEMF and targeted vibration included on selected products.

What is near-infrared light?

Near-infrared (NIR) light sits just beyond the visible red-light spectrum, so it is generally not visible to the eye. Device specifications commonly describe NIR by wavelength in nanometres (nm). Lifinity currently uses 850 nm and 880 nm near-infrared light across selected products.

850 nm near-infrared devices

GloWave LED + PEMF Facial Mask includes 850 nm near-infrared light alongside 630 nm red, 590 nm yellow and 465 nm blue light.

Back Recovery Pro™ combines 850 nm near-infrared light with 660 nm red light, PEMF and targeted vibration.

880 nm near-infrared devices

Knee Motion Pro™ and BioFlex Core use 880 nm near-infrared light alongside 660 nm red light, PEMF and targeted vibration.

Near-infrared vs red light

Red light is visible, while near-infrared light is outside the visible range. Many modern light-based devices combine both. The practical differences depend on wavelength, output, treatment area and device design. Read our red light vs near-infrared comparison for more detail.

Frequently asked questions

Is 850 nm the same as 880 nm?

No. They are different near-infrared wavelengths. Lifinity publishes the exact wavelength used by each device so you can compare products accurately.

Can near-infrared light be seen?

Near-infrared light is generally outside the visible range, so the NIR component itself may not appear illuminated even while a device is operating.

Which Lifinity products use near-infrared light?

GloWave, Back Recovery Pro™, Knee Motion Pro™ and BioFlex Core currently include near-infrared light. Check individual product pages for exact specifications and safe-use guidance.
